"How Can I Prepare For My Portrait Session?"
This is a common question and a valid one, at that. Below are some tips to help make sure your photo session is an enjoyable, smooth experience.
The best time of the day to photograph is morning hours (8am-10am) or afternoon (3pm-5pm). This will provide the best lighting and avoid harsh shadows from mid day sun.
Should your little ones need a moment to regroup, take a potty break or a moment to get a drink or snack, please do not hesitate to ask. It is best if they are fed and well rested, but as a mother, I understand we all have our moments--children included. I am flexible, and my main priority is to ensure they are comfortable in their surroundings.
Many people ask what they should wear to a session. This is completely your choice, however, I suggest avoiding bright prints and patterns. Solid colors are always good as the focus remains on your face, not your clothes. Some families prefer to match outfits, and some families prefer to allow more individual expression. The choice is completely and always your's.
"What Next?"
Please make sure you have printed and signed the model release form along with your $50 deposit and mailed it (email me for the mailing address)1 week before your scheduled session. Your session is not guaranteed without this document and deposit. The model release form can be found below.
